Stomp Out Bullying

If you have been on the 4th floor, you might have seen a new bulletin board. (If not see attached picture.) Over the summer I went to a symposium run by the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying. While I wish it had been a bit more informational and academic, I was able to bring back some really cool prizes. The Jets and Stomp Out Bullying are committed to rewarding Upstanders. An Upstander? What is that? Well, an Upstander is someone who stands, you guessed it, UP to bullying. They don't stand by and let it happen, they intervene. They make others feel included.

Each week I get to reward a student who is an Upstander. This student gets featured on our social media, a free t-shirt, bumper sticker, three free New York Jets tickets, as well as a free parking pass. They also get a chance at becoming the Jets Featured Upstander of the week. We have had two students nominated so far. Congratulations!
